Darren McKoy

Rev. Darren Mckoy, the only child of Rev. Dennis and Annie Mckoy, was born in Kingston St. Andrew in 1984. Having grown up in the Church of God in Jamaica and son of one of our late pastors Rev. Dennis Mckoy, the call to the ministry was not only inevitable but destined.

He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour at the tender age of 10, over 30 years ago, and accepted the call to Christian Ministry over 17 years ago.  His call to ministry has seen him serve the Church of God as a local Youth Fellowship President, Regional Youth Chairman, National Youth Director and currently serves as the National Christian Education Director of the Church of God in Jamaica. He has also served as Pastoral intern at the Lluidas Vale Church of God, Youth Pastor at the Highholborn Street Church of God from 2011-2018 and Pastor for the Juno Pen Church of God in St. Mary from 2018-2024.

Apart from his pastoral duties, Rev. Darren Mckoy is a trained teacher by profession and has a Teaching Diploma from The Mico Teacher’s College and a bachelor’s degree in general studies, with emphasis in Biblical and Theological Studies, from the Jamaica Theological Seminary. He is an Actor Boy Nominee in the category of best supporting actor for the play “One Blood” and is also the author of a Christian Novel “Chronicles of Faith”.

He is presently serving as Pastor of the Constant Spring Road Church and has been
since April 1, 2024.

He is married to Leana Mckoy and a proud father of one son, Micah Mckoy.

His call to ministry is to bring the undiluted truth, which is the Word of God, to a dying world and to display a Christ-like attitude to all.
