Points:

Transformation: An act or the act or process of change in form, appearance, nature or character. Especially a radical one
Jesus used the name Simon first (vs 17) and then Peter (vs 18) to suggest transformation of the man.
As Simon grew into Peter he had to learn:
- He had to learn self control
- He had to learn how to be a leader
- He had to learn how to be a writer
When you have transitioned from a caterpillar to a butterfly, don’t go back to do caterpillar things. Don’t return to your crawling days.
Even after this experience, Peter made his mistakes until he got it right
Each of us must go through our own transformation process
Peter moved from:
- “Denier of the gospel to defender of the gospel
- From doubter to “convincer”
- From self movements to God movements
Know where you are moving from and where you are moving to
Let God work in your life. Let the Holy Spirit lead
