Points:
- Deliberate preaching does not necessarily speak to attack anyone in particular but to obey the spirit of the Lord.
- Peter’s sermon was delivered against the background of cultural, religious and historical perspectives.
- These realities impacted the tone, intensity and context of his Pentecostal presentation.
- It was not a sermon that was outlined and waiting for an opportunity to be presented.
- The truth is, Peter’s sermon should be seen as one motivated by the Holy Spirit to preach against chaos in the midst of their religious celebrations.
- Deliberate preaching does not necessarily speak to attack anyone in particular but to obey the spirit of the Lord.
- One must always remember, the Holy Spirit is very knowledgeable about everyone’s life and will point them out in the message He appoints.
- Peter spoke to all the persons who were in attendance at the Feast of Weeks and the message convicted their hearts and made their consciences alive.
- Every proclaimer of God’s message must make Jesus the subject of his Proclamation.
- When Jesus is the subject the truth will be spoken. When Jesus is the subject, hearts will respond to the conviction of the spirit.
- When Jesus is the subject, He guides the way.
