Points:
- Deny yourself
- What does it mean to deny yourself?
- Recognising that there is “something” that there is more important that yourself.
- Putting the betterment of others above personal pleasures.
- Following Jesus is uncomfortable.
- What does it mean to deny yourself?
- Take Up Your Cross Daily
- The journey also includes carrying burdens. Not just your own but the burdens of others.
- You will have to consistently carry this “cross”.
- Being Obedient to the Word of God
- If you really want to show your love for Christ, follow what He left for you to do
- The Bible is the “God-Breathed Word”, as such, we must follow it
- If you really want to show your love for Christ, follow what He left for you to do
- Lose your Life
- This does not literally mean dying, it means to put God’s desires above our own

- God expects us to take up our crosses daily
- God expects us to be obedient to Him
- God expects us to put His desires first
- God expects us to be bold and represent Him well.
- All of your life must be centred around pleasing God
