Points:

Running with perseverance (vs 1)
- Get rid of distractions (attitude, state of mind, sin) – this is a command!
- We can’t run with weights
Fixing our eyes on Jesus (vs 2)
- No athlete enters a race without a goal
- It matters what you focus on! If you focus on your problems you will continue to see your problems
Considering Christ in relation to His race (vs 3)
- If we focus on Christ we will not grow weary.
- His race started in poverty and ended in agony at the cross
- He never lost sight of the goal
- When you feel like quitting, look to Jesus! He is with us and promises never to leave or forsake us!
